Tibard is a family-run, international supplier of workwear uniforms, based in Manchester in the United Kingdom. Since its founding in 1979, Tibard has grown to become one of the leading British manufacturers of chef whites and hospitality clothing. We have been working for Tibard and its sister company, Oliver Harvey, for over 3 years on a full range of creative, technology and marketing services.
Our challenge was to help Tibard and its sister company, Oliver Harvey, make the journey from very well-established mail order businesses’ to fully integrated digital retailers. We were tasked with increasing online orders, average order value from both of the websites, to create new and engaging brochures and to deliver ongoing marketing strategies to build the business in a digital age.
Tibard is a family run business – passion runs extremely deep. The team entrusted us with growing the digital face of the business, a task that would require a solid understanding of the products and processes.
Our workshop and discovery days gained valuable insights into the business which enabled us to develop a comprehensive roadmap for the project. From here we developed a creative strategy that refreshed the existing photography and typography, key messages and overall tone of voice.
Our web builds had to tie into their internal ordering systems and CRM systems, so a comprehensive architecture document was delivered. This enabled us to confidently build a robust Magento website for both the Tibard and Oliver Harvey brands.
Since working with Motionlab, Tibard site traffic has increased by 99.68%. Onsite conversion rate has increased by 101.54%.
The number of transactions generated by the site has increased by 302.44%. Average order values have increased by 36.83% and revenue generated by the website has increased by 450.68%.
We have worked with the brand to develop a bespoke ‘college store’ solution which allows training providers in UK colleges to be able to personalise and tailor clothing and equipment for courses including hairdressing & beauty and catering & hospitality.
In addition to our ongoing digital support for Tibard, we have redeveloped the award-winning Oliver Harvey website which has won plaudits from across the sector and continues to go from strength-to-strength in all areas of onsite performance.
Our vision for the chef wear site involved art directing and overseeing new photography, which was designed to portray the intricacies that go into manufacturing garments and highlighted the parallels between this process and that of a chef constructing a culinary masterpiece in a kitchen.
