Helping to drive 'Excellence as Standard' throughout the fenestration industry by developing an installer programme with a difference for market leaders, the Epwin Group.

History

Epwin Group is one of the UK’s largest and most respected manufacturers and suppliers of PVC windows, doors and fascia systems. Conscious of the complex decision-making householders face when seeking out a home improvement company they can trust, and keen to raise overall standards within this industry across the board, they decided to initiate a brand new installer programme.

Motionlab worked with Epwin to develop the ‘Excellence as Standard’ programme that invites loyalty and trust and promotes excellence amongst extruders, manufacturers, installers and partners across the window and door industry.

‘Excellence as Standard’ was successfully launched at FIT Show 2017, the industry’s only dedicated trade show.

The Approach

There are already a number of competing installer schemes established within the industry so our first task was to differentiate the new programme and make it standout in a saturated installer market.

Excellence as Standard (EAS) was originally due to be a wholly installer-focused programme but soon became something all-encompassing and inclusive of fabricators too.

Motionlab began by branding the programme and incorporated a ‘tick’ symbol to reinforce that all products and services acquired via an EAS installer are of the highest quality.

The #takethepledge hashtag was established to help spread word of the programme to installers and encourage them to come on-board. This hashtag was emblazoned on an extensive and distinctive suite of on and offline literature communicating the benefits of the programme, respectively targeted at customers, fabricators and installers. A holding page was also set-up ahead of rolling out the full website to initiate anticipation and awareness of the programme’s launch and teaser adverts disseminated to the glazing press.

Included in the website is an installer look-up section where all EAS installers are showcased and have the opportunity to promote their business, forming the gateway to lead generation.

The Outcomes

The level of interest expressed by fabricators, installers and homeowners since the launch highlights the appetite for quality and is reflective of what is undoubtedly the most comprehensive installer programme launched to-date.

Over 100 installers pledged their commitment to excellence before and during FIT Show 2017 with many more following suit in the subsequent months.
