PHP Developer (WordPress)

We are looking for a talented PHP/CMS developer who is passionate about building systems that are performant, intuitive, and easy to use. Reporting to our Technical Director, you’ll work across a wide variety of client projects such as legacy and new websites, as well as across our innovative projects.

Roles & Responsibilities

Although the primary role will be focused around development in WordPress it would be advantageous to the successful candidate if they had provable OO PHP experience, using frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony and CakePHP. A working knowledge of RESTful services and experience with frontend technologies such as Angular and React JS would also be a bonus.

You will have a willingness and desire to learn and improve. You will be someone excited by new technologies and keeps up to date with current trends. This role requires you to have the ability to manage your own time, and ensure work is complete as efficiently as possible to an exceptionally high standard. We’re also looking for someone who has the ability to think outside the box and produce innovative ideas, alongside having strong problem solving skills.

Required Skills

  • Experience using WordPress and creating plugins
  • Ability to work with the design team to create beautiful cutting edge websites, design lead development
  • MySQL knowledge and working with large datasets
  • Working closely with account managers to create detailed technical specifications and work to project guidelines and timescales.
  • Some experience using Magento would be an advantage
  • Experience with Git/SVN
  • Command line knowledge, preferably Ubuntu
