Motionlab is looking to add the permanent position of an infrastructure technician to take on the role of streamlining our internal systems and building our hosting provision into an even better proposition.
This role is currently split amongst our technical developers and technical director. This is a newly created role where you will have the opportunity to carve your own niche and help drive this area of the business forward.
We primarily favour Open Source Linux based systems. The right candidate will be able to see how improvements can be made internally and recommend software/hardware directly to board members that can improve security and enable users to operate more productively.
Additionally, you will be able to recommend and provision hardware for hosting our clients web applications, primarily inside of Amazon Web Services, ideally streamlining where possible with infrastructure as code where relevant, and configuring suitable monitoring of hardware/uptime.
Ideally, you'll have knowledge of:
Networking (Switch Configuration (VLANs, LAGs), WAP Configuration)
AFP
SAMBA
LDAP
Linux based Network software (Zentyal, Pfsense)
Bash
Docker
Hypervisors (Proxmox)
Chef/Puppet/Ansible
New Relic
Bind
ZFS
