Motionlab Build New Website For UK's Largest Glass Manufacturer
Following a recent rebranding exercise where Solaglas - the UK's largest processor, distributor, installer and repairer of glass and glass systems became Glassolutions, the firm have unveiled a brand new website.
Glassolutions are a wholly-owned subsidiary of the worldwide Saint-Gobain Group, which also includes the Planitherm brand for whom Motionlab have been providing successful online solutions over the past 12 months.
Despite this, Motionlab still had to prove they had what it took to take on such an ambitious and extensive project, coming out on top following a highly competitive pitch process involving rival national and international agencies.
The new website http://www.glassolutions.co.uk/ has involved a long build process using Drupal and been six months in the making, with lots of consideration given to content strategy.
It contains detailed product and technical information, news and case studies as well as a new "knowledge centre" featuring a number of interactive tools to help manufacturers, specifiers and homeowners choose the right glass solution.
The UK site has been specifically built with the functionality required to allow the build of multiple country sites within the setup as this will allow for the content included on the UK site to be shared across Europe.
It will give Glassolutions an online platform to build consistent content led websites with a holistic approach and enable them to strengthen their market position as being the leading glass service and solutions provider.
The timing of the website launch was chosen to coincide with the company exhibiting a new range of innovative glazing solutions at last week's Ecobuild trade event at London's ExCel.
